Where they work best

Good as a side on a meal deal, a bar or pub snack menu, part of a sharing box alongside wings or goujons, or a smaller option for kids’ portions where a full nugget feels like too much. Their size also means a faster cook than a full-size nugget, which helps during a quick turnaround service.

Cooking directions

Cook from frozen for best results — thawing first means cutting the time down, so check rather than guess. Given the smaller size, these will cook faster than standard nuggets, so keep an eye on them rather than using nugget timing out of habit. Whatever method you use, they need to come out piping hot all the way through, not just golden on the outside.

Oven or fryer: Follow the guidance on the packaging for exact times, since the smaller bite size means a shorter cook than larger chicken products — always check they’re fully cooked through before serving.

Storage

Keep frozen at -18°C or below until ready to cook. If a pack starts to thaw, use it the same day rather than refreezing, and store away from raw or ready-to-eat food.
